How to get front-row seat for Broadway show for $20

This could be my one and only chance in a lifetime to sit in the front row of anything, (except for maybe a sold-out movie). Front row seats for “RENT: The Broadway Tour” are available for $20 the day of performance only at the Center Box Office at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.

Here are the details: Seats in the front two rows of the orchestra will be made available for just $20 for every performance of “RENT,” the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning musical running from Oct. 20-25. The $20 tickets go on sale at the Center’s box office on the day of each performance only, two hours prior to the show and are available to anyone, cash only, with a limit of two tickets per person. The tickets will be distributed two hours before curtain on a first-come, first-served basis to those in line. The available seats are in two rows of chairs that have been set in front of the first rows of the house. 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa.  Regular tickets are $20-$70 and are on sale now.

Surfers Are Up Today at A Restaurant!

The A Restaurant in Newport Beach is well known for its fun, local celebrity guest bartenders nearly every Wednesday starting at 6 p.m. And this week’s bartenders are pouring drinks for a cause—even better! Surf industry vets, Bob Hurley, Rob Machado, Sean Collins and Jonno Wells, will be pouring drinks with director McG for SurfAid International and relief efforts for the recent earthquake in Padang, Sumutra. So stop by for a drink and raise funds for a much-needed cause.
